If you're considering running for Mayor or Council, it's important to understand the rules surrounding election advertising and campaign financing.
Candidates are required to follow provincial legislation governing campaign contributions, election expenses, and advertising before, during, and after the election. These rules help ensure accountability, transparency, and a fair election process for everyone.
These rules can be found under the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act.

- Pre-Campaign Period: July 20 - September 18, 2026
- Campaign Period: September 19 - October 17, 2026
