Under Section 498 of the Local Government Act, the Applicant has filed an Application for a Development Variance Permit.
The Applicant is requesting a variance to the Village of Nakusp Zoning Bylaw 729, 2023, to change the front parcel line from 5th Avenue NW to 3rd Street NW, allowing the front of the house to face 3rd Street NW.
Council will be considering this application at the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday, November 24th, 2025, at 6:30 pm, in the Emergency Services buildings (300 – 8th Ave NW). Any owner or tenant of land who believes they are affected by this application for a development variance may submit written comments to:

Comments must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Monday, November 17, 2025, and include your name and address; anonymous comments will not be accepted.
Comments will be provided to Council for their review when they consider the Development Variance Permit Application during the regular Council meeting on Monday, November 24th, 2025. These comments may be read aloud and will form a part of the public record. Comments will not be accepted after the above deadline or in person at the meeting.
The proposed Development Variance Permit may be viewed at the Village Office, 91 1st Avenue NW, during regular office hours, Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM, until November 17, 2025.
