What is an election campaign?
Once a candidate has been declared, they can begin sharing their message with voters through an election campaign.
An election campaign is a coordinated effort to connect with the community and encourage voters to support a candidate. Campaign activities can include:
- Public appearances and speeches;
- Social media posts and online communications;
- Advertisements;
- Campaign signs;
- Mail inserts and newsletters; and
- Stickers and buttons.
Election campaigns play an important role in helping voters learn about the people running for office and the ideas they bring to the community.
