To help keep Nakusp safe and enjoyable for everyone, we'd like to remind both residents and visitors that, under Animal Control Bylaw No. 645, 2013, all dogs must be kept on a leash whenever they are off their owner's property.
Whether you're out for a neighbourhood walk, enjoying the park or campground, or attending a community event, keeping your dog on a leash helps ensure a safe and welcoming environment for people and pets alike.
Please remember that dogs are not permitted on the public beach. If your four-legged friend is looking to enjoy some time in the sand, head to the designated dog beach, conveniently located just north of the public beach.
