Do you know where all the funds collected through property taxes go? Not all the funds collected by the Village go to the Village. Your property tax bill collects funds on behalf of other local government (RDCK) and Provincial services, such as schools, the RCMP, and hospitals, to name a few. The Village then remits those allocated funds to the other organizations. The Village retains 47.4% of your property tax bill.
