The Regional District Central Kootenay (RDCK) Community Development Program was established to support initiatives from nonprofit organizations that further the social, economic and environmental well-being of the Regional District's residents and organizations.
Applications for the Village of Nakusp portion of the program funds require the support of the Village Council. Applications are reviewed twice a year, with application deadlines for the last business day in February and then again in August. Council will review the applications at the first regular meeting in March and then again in September.
The Village of Nakusp has a policy to ensure eligibility criteria are met for each application and that the disbursement of the Community Development Grant funds is done consistently without prejudice. More details regarding the decision-making process are available in the attached policy.
