The Nakusp Hot Springs Trail is a short, low-elevation trail that’s well-loved by both locals and visitors. It offers easy access to the Hot Springs source and connects to other nearby trails for those looking for a longer adventure.
Due to age and wear, the trail is undergoing much-needed improvements. These upgrades will make the trail safer, more accessible, and more enjoyable for people of all ages and abilities.

What’s Happening
New boardwalks are being built, and a clear walkway is being added through rocky and boggy areas near the source to protect sensitive habitats and biodiversity. These changes will improve safety and preserve the natural environment.
Construction Details
Trail crews are working on-site daily. Some sections of the trail will be temporarily closed during construction, especially the area between the Hot Springs and Kuskanax Bridge. Work will continue through July, and we’ll keep the public updated throughout the process.

What to Expect
The restoration starts at the bridge and continues to the Hot Springs source. Once complete, the upgraded trail will be safer, more inclusive, and easier for everyone to enjoy, whether you're hiking, exploring with your family, or simply out for a forest walk.
